Yoga & Meditation
The style of yoga I teach is rooted in alignment-based traditions, with a focus on safe and accessible sequencing. I draw from therapeutic and restorative practices for clients who are seeking yoga for mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness.
Whether you are looking to increase physical flexibility, strength, stamina or coordination or are dealing with a physical or mental health concern, yoga can be a wonderful addition to your wellness regimen. Yoga may also complement and accompany Counselling & Therapy, where appropriate.
If you have been curious about meditation or perhaps it has been recommended by one of your healthcare professionals, I am a certified meditation teacher (100-hr) and would be honoured to help you get set up with a practice. Connect with me for further details.

Counselling & Therapy
Janice’s therapeutic approach with individuals and families rests on the conviction that everyone is doing the best they can at any given moment with the tools and resources they have access to. Janice is passionate about empowering people as the “experts” of their own lives and helping them tap into the skills and resources they already possess, which have become cloaked in varying shades of mental health concerns, including Anxiety, Depression, Stress, and Trauma.
Janice provides a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space to facilitate a supportive and purposeful conversation through which individuals and/or families can begin to unveil some of their unique skills and abilities or perhaps begin to think about things in a different way.
Janice has a Master’s of Social Work Degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, and is a member in good standing of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers: www.ocswssw.org Janice has several years of experience, working in mental health, where she developed a passion for Narrative, Trauma-Informed, and Attachment-focused therapies, as well as Mindfulness-based interventions.
